Mehdi Farshidi-sepehr: " Adam's perfume" invites people to a safe conversation

This show is played by 30 actors from 4 to 50 years old and tells the story of people from different walks of life who sing hymns together.

" Adam's perfume" is one of the shows that audiences leave the theater with a good mood, double energy and thinking after watching this work.
Iran Theater talks to Mehdi Farshidi-Sepher about his new directing experiences and his motivation for directing a show after four years setbacks.

What made you direct the show " Adam's perfume"?

- I have been away from theater for several years and I didn’t direct anything; Now, after four years, I returned to the theater and because I was looking for practical art, the initial idea of the show " Adam's perfume" was formed. I also had songs from the past 10 years that were made and written over time; So I decided to perform these songs directly for the people and make it close to applied art.

Tell us about the importance of this show at this point in time.

- You must know that today's society is suffering from stress, wounds, anxiety and social problems, one of the things we can do as an artist is to invite people to a safe conversation and try to talk to each other and make them listen. Let's invite each other, so that peace will always be with us.

 

There are about 14 songs in this show, which does not make the audience tired of what they see and; Tell us a little about this passion and feeling created for the audience.

- When we sing these hymns, we don't think about presenting our talents and art to be seen, but we sing these hymns so that the audience can see themselves in these scenes. Therefore, the audience does not get tired of watching and performs along with us. ; Of course, I should not say it, we should watch  it  from the audience's point of view.
