Iranian Theater Marketing Is an Inflection Point of Fadjr Festival
IRAN THEATER – "199 works from 37 countries were submitted to the International section of the festival by Nov 1 which will certainly increase." Curator of the festival's International section, Mohammad Atebai, said.
"Besides the international outstanding works there are also some co productions such as "Shahname" which is coproduced by Germany and Iran, the work of Reza Gooran in Netherlands and the collaboration between Yaser Khaseb and a Brazilian artist." Pointing to the 9 productions of the International Competition and 5 works of the Nationals' Theater, dedicated to the Latin America, he continued.
"The 1st Iranian Theater Marketing, which is internationally called ITM, has widely received positive feedbacks." Mentioning the marketing as an effective proceeding, he added. "I try to provide a convenient field for artists through this marketing which includes 30 pavilions dedicated to the Iranian professional companies that have had overseas presence so far." He said.
"Our goal is to expose the artists to the world festival organizers and theater directors to adapt themselves with the international standards."
The 28th Fadjr International Theater Festival will take place from Jan 22 to 31 in Tehran.
