Director General of Dramatic Arts visited 2024 Tehran Book Fair

Hamid Nili visited Namayesh publishing booth at the 35th Tehran International Book Fair and emphasized the need to pay attention to the historiography of theater after the revolution.

Hamid Nili, Director General of Dramatic Arts, visited the Tehran Book Fair on Wednesday, May 15.

He said: "Theatrical publications should take more serious steps in the historiography of theater after the Islamic Revolution."

He also said that attention should be paid to topics such as dramaturgy by foreign authors, children theater and publishing works of Iranian authors: "The approach of the Research and Publishing Office should be towards publishing the works of professional Iranian writers, books of dramaturgy by foreign authors, modern research of the world theater and children's and adolescent theater and correct and efficient educational approach for the children's audience.”

Namayesh publishing booth has been set up in the Public Publishers Hall by the efforts of the General Directorate of Dramatic Arts, the Iranian Performing Arts Association and the Office of Education, Research and Publications.

The 35th Tehran International Book Fair (TIBF) took place at Tehran's Imam Khomeini Mosalla from May 18 to 28,2024.
