The puppets "Hadi and Hoda" return to the theater after nearly three decades

Iran Theater- Reza Fayazi, actor, writer and stage director, announced that the puppets "Hadi and Hoda" will return to the stage in a show at the Honar Hall.

Reza Fayazi, actor, theater director and one of the writers of the popular puppet series "Hadi and Hoda" which was broadcast on channel  two in the 80s; After a long time, he is going to direct a  puppet show called "Hadi and Hoda and Verereh Jadoo" .

Reza Fayazi said about the production process of this show: "The characters of Hadi and Hedi were created by me and Reza Shams in the 80s for a series with the same name. In 2018, after many years, my group and I were preparing a work based on these characters as the show "Hadi and Hoda and Varereh Jadoo" for children and young adult, but unfortunately,  we were unable to continue the rehearsal process of this show because pandemic ."

 

He went on to say: "Now, after five years, Amin Akbari Nasab invited me and with providing the money, I am going to prepare this show for performance again. The lyrics were written before, but now parts of these lyrics are being edited by Amir Soltan Ahmadi to create a rhythmic atmosphere."

Emphasizing the importance of funding for the production of a play, the artist added: "Children theater is always more expensive than producing a play for the adult.We need more money and support to produce a children show, because the works of this age group require making puppets, suitable music and also different decor."

At the end, Fayazi said: "Veteran artists such as Reza Babak, Bahram Shahmohammadloo and other ones who were active in the field before, mostly because of the lack of support and budget, withdrew from activity in the field of children and young adult theater. We are no longer the former youths who want to do something by hardship and giving in to any situation. Now, we want to show great work on the stage, and this will only be achieved by providing funds and conditions."
