Iran Theater-Davood Fathali Baeygi, writer, actor and theater director, announced the public performance of the show "A soiree with Moliere" after the end of Muharram and Safar months at Sangelaj Theater.

" A Soiree with Moliere " was selected to have performance at out of competition  section  at Mehrab Hall during the  42nd Fadjr International Theater Festival.

About the story of this work, He said: "The first version of play, which was inspired by Moliere’s" Tartuffe ", was performed for the first time in 2013 and at the 15th Tehran-Mubarak International Puppet Festival as a live-puppet format

. I took it on stage, which was not liked by my friends."

He continued: "After that, in the second version of the play, I researched a little more about Moliere's anger for writing Tartuffe, and for this reason, I began the story of second version from the time of Moliere's burial in Saint Joseph's cemetery."

The artist explained about the theme of this show: "Unfortunately, we live in a period where hypocrisy has increased, this issue is also explored in the play. Moliere questioned hypocrisy in "Tartuffe" as well and I also witnessed hypocritical behavior with the performance of "The Throne and the Dagger", my first siah-bazi play, which I wrote inspired by some words of Imam Ali (a.s.) to Malik al-Ashtar. That's why I mentioned different forms of hypocrisy in this show."

This show, which was staged at the festival last year, will be restage after six months, and this time it opens at Sangelaj Theater will. These days, the play " Mubarak and Khatoon Pardahneshin" " written by Davood Fathali Baygi is also on stage in this hall.
