Mojtaba Mehdi: The biggest shortcoming of modern life is lack of dreams

Iran Theater-The writer and director of the show "The Tale of an Apple That Flew", Mojtaba Mehdi, believed that in today's difficult conditions, only love for theater motivates the producing the show. And he considered the biggest lack of our life to be dreamless in the modern world.
After 10 years, Mojtaba Mehdi, the writer and director of the theater, is staging the show "The Tale of an Apple That Flew" at Honar Hall since the first days of August.
Mehdi said: The story is inspired by seven Iranian and foreign stories, including King Jamshid, Hasan the Bald, The King Who Had No Son, Snow White, Adam and Eve, and it deals with the life of two families where a tree grows green on the boundary line of their house. And little by little, they are arguing over the ownership of this tree."
He went on to say: "The common point of all these stories is the apple, which is used as a fruit for peace."
The artist admitted that he always sought to have new characters instead of negative and evil characters such as giants, demons and witches in children's stories, who have kind look at life and are not always involved in conflict and violence. He stated: "Peace is the only thing that needs to be thought about in human life right now and it is a global issue."
The writer and director of the "The Story of an Apple That Flew" believed: "Story and play are necessary for the life of children and teenagers. They are two things that are forgotten in today’s life . I always try to tell stories for them instead of presenting psychological and difficult analyzes in my works, because I believe that the biggest lack of our life in today's world is to be dreamless.
