Waiting for great stage directors after a long hiatus( part two)
Iran Theater- In the first part of this report, we discussed a number of veteran directors and prominent young theater directors who have not directed in the theater for a long time and their absence has been felt. In the second part, we will discuss a number of other directors who played an important role in Iranian theater in recent years.
Afshana Mahian is an actress, playwright and theater director and one of the active women in the Iranian theater community ,who staged the play "Child" written by Naghme Samini in 2022, starring Fatemeh Motamed-Arya, Mehran Nael and Shiva Falahi. Reza Servati is one of the other creative theater directors who has been away from the stage for almost 5 years now.
Crimes and Punishments written by Fyodor Dostoevsky is the last play that he staged with famous stars like Atila Pesyani.
Parsa Pirouzfar is an actor, translator and one of the prolific directors of the 2010s, who has performed works such as "Stones in his Pockets", "By the Sea", " Matryoshka", "A Summer Day" and "Meetings" in his artistic career.
Nasser Hosseini-Mehr, director, researcher, translator and theater teacher, is an artist who performed his last show entitled " The Blind Owl" (2016) based on a free interoperation of the book " The Blind Owl" and "Three Drops of Blood" by Sadegh Hedayat in City Theater Complex.
Seyed Mohammad Mosavat, the popular writer and director of the theater, performed his last work in 2022 called "Cherry blossoms" in the main hall of the City Theater Complex.
Mohammad Hassan Majouni is an actor and theater director and head of Liv Theater Company. He performed the play "The Garden" in 2022, based on the play "The Cherry Orchard" by Anton Chekhov, in Hall of Tehran Book Garden.
Nader Borhani Marand , writer and theater director, has not directed a play for eight years.
