The theater should be able to keep the actor alive

Kazem Hajir-Azad, who is more active in television and cinema these days, talked about his interest in acting on stage and complained about the conditions, Iran Theater reported.

The artist said that he loves show, a show that can keep him alive, he said: "In the past, directors and actors were hired and the artist could make a living, but now  it is no longer hiring actors and directors,and There is no state theater. In this situation, we have to do other things, so we are more busy in cinema and television.”

 

He went on to say: "Unfortunately, most of the veterans have stayed at home these days. We should use the experience of artists such as Dr. Ali Rafiei, Ghotbeddin Sadeghi and other experienced ones. But Sadly , for a theatrical work, it must either have a big budget or it is the work of novices whose Families pay for their work to perform in one of these private Halls.”

This artist complained about the lack of funds for theater production: "Theatre artists are now engaged in cinema and television projects. Why shouldn't we see a work of people like Dawood Mirbagheri on the stage. "Why should he go television?"

He concluded: "As long as there is no support, even if something can be successful, it will still not be profitable  work and can only recover its production costs."
