Extended Submission Deadline Announced for International Theater Festival for Children and Youth

Iran Theater- The deadline for submitting and uploading the works of applicants to the website of the International Theater Festival for Children and Youth has been extended, the festival secretariat reported.

Because some theater groups have not succeeded in submitting their works, the 29th International Theater Festival of Children and Youth has extended the deadline for the registration in various sections of festival until September 10,2024.

                                       

All artists can register their works on the website of the 29th Hamedan International Theater Festival for Children and Youth at https://icy.theater.ir until the announced date.

 

The competitive sections of the 29th International Children and Adolescent Theater Festival consist of "Young Theater section", "Children's Theater section", "Teenage Theater section", "Street Theater section", "Playwriting section".

 

Led by Amir Mashahdi Abbas, this year’s festival is organized by the Directorate General of Dramatic Arts of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in collaboration with Hamedan Municipality, the General Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Hamedan Province and Iran Dramatic Arts Association.

The festival will be held in the historic city of Hamedan with the slogan "theater, dialogue without borders" and with the aim of "strengthening empathy and companionship, growth and awareness and self-confidence of Iranian children through dramatic arts."

The goals of the 29th International Theater Festival for Children and Adolescents include: “Realization of social participation of children and youth ", "Raising the level of public culture", "Strengthening the authentic foundations of the family and the relationship between generations", "Educating citizenship and increasing responsibility by providing the context for the active participation of Iranian children and adolescents in the production of theatrical works"
