Proposals of the selection Committee of "The Other Types of performance Section" to the participating groups
Iran Theater- The selection committee of the 43rd Fadjr International Theater Festival announced their proposals to the applicants for this section.
The selection committee of the other Types of performance section consists of Mahmoudreza Rahimi (director of the section), Erfan Nazer and Saeed Hashemzadeh, who made suggestions after viewing the works and carefully examining them.
The first meeting of the selection Committee of other types of performance was held and after reviewing the works submitted by the applicants, this committee considers the reviewed works to include multiple and attractive views of the performance and while appreciating the participants, they has made suggestions that hopes to pay more attention to these points.
- Most of the submitted works are not performance-oriented but story-oriented; If the performance in this section and how to perform has priority over the plot, it is suggested to explain how to perform.
- The drafts and performances have theatrical aspects such as the cast, director and text and have moved towards theater and not performance art. However, in both the call and the previous awareness, the emphasis is on other types of performance.
- Most of the presented works do not have executive requirements such as Statement and they should try to write a detailed situation report for their work which includes concern, time, place, personality and the way of performing improvisation.
- Most of the works have weakly used symbolism and have moral messages and sometimes clichés, while moralism should not weaken the performance and should be the strength of the work.
- How the audience interacts or the reasons for the presence of the performer in the works are not clear and it is suggested to be considered in the presentation.
- Most of the works or drafts have nothing to do with media and contemporary performance art.
- The influence and definition of categories such as specific place and time or the conflict of memories and objects, etc. are theories that are not clear in the works.
