Carthage Awards Given to Nima Dehqan and Zahra Sabri

Two Iranian theater companies participated in the Carthage International Theater Festival; Nima Dehqan staged "Madar Mande" and Zahra Sabri with "Earth & Wheel".

"Roberto Choli helped us so much." Nima Dehqan said. "He cooperated with the troupe like an Iranian. He brought our decoration from Germany to Tunisia. In fact, he had introduced the Iranian theater companies to the Carthage Festival's director, Mohammad Edris."
"Different Arab countries like Morocco, Jordan, United Arab Emirate, and some European countries such as Germany, Italy, and France took part in the festival. Also Roberto Choli staged "Death of Danton" and "Caspar" in Tunisia." He detailed the events.
"The Tunisian were not familiar with the Iranian theater at all, hence they though that Iran has recently started theatrical activities. We tired to change their mind. The two Iranian stage productions were positively received."
"Irregularity was one of the biggest problems of the Carthage Festival. Thus the festival's headquarters should make so much effort to achieve international standards." He explained the festival's quality.
The Carthage International Festival is held biennially, once dedicated to cinema and the other time to theater.
This year the festival took place from Nov 11 to 22 in Tunisia.
