The 17th Marivan Street Theater Festival crowns the winners

Iran Theater- The closing ceremony of the 17th Marivan International Street Theater Festival was held in the presence of officials and artists, and the prizes winners announced.
Hamid Nili, Director General of Dramatic Arts, mentioned the motto of the 17th Marivan Street Theater Festival as security, cheerfulness, empathy and kindness and stated: I believe that street theater expresses the concerns that are explicitly planned with the audience and for the people.
He described the street theater as a popular stream and said: sometimes the authorities can find the solution to problems and concerns from the theater. Street theater is an art in which artists invite people to solve problems, and during these few days, uncountable joy reigned among the people in Marivan.
He went on to say: In street theater, we go to the people, the characteristic of street theater is that issues are raised and summarized in a short time, therefore the performance should be short, there is hope that the artists of this field will pay more attention to this point.
Seyed Fateh Badparva, artistic director of the 17th Marivan Street Theater Festival explained: I thank the people of Marivan; This festival is for people and artists, and if the officials didn’t help, we wouldn't have witnessed such an international event today.
The special and independent popular award went to Behnam Kaveh, the director of "The Last Catch of a Fish Man" from Abadan. Saeed Badini won the best director award for the show "Autopsy of Simple Letters". The special mention went to Mojtaba Khalili for directing the show "Big Shit".
The Jury introduced the shows to the secretariat of the FITF for the final review to participate in the 43rd Fadjr International Theater Festival: " Die with me, Jahan" directed by Somayeh Mehri from Tehran, "Darestan" directed by Payam Rostami from Sanandaj, "Rigai Be Ribovar" directed by Mokhtar Mohammadi from Marivan, "Autopsy of Simple Letters" directed by Saeed Badini from Zahedan, “Big Shit” by Mojtaba Khalili from Isfahan, "Root Chakra" directed by Ali Sanamiri from Bushehr.
