Tohid Masoumi:Marivan Theater Festival is famous in the world

He thinks that the Marivan festival is being held live and cheerfully in the current situation, and artists from different countries are displaying their art with ease: "The holding of this festival shows that art has its own way regardless of political issues and threats. And the festival was well received by the people, which brought joy and happiness to the people."

 He added: "One of the features of this edition is strengthening its international section; it is a policy that Hamid Nili’s had since the his presence in the General Department of Daramtic Arts . Both the General Administration of Dramatic Arts and the officials of the province and city and the hardworking artistic director of the festival,Fateh Badparvar, tried to organize the international section more magnificently and with the presence of more foreign artists from all over the world. There was order and planning in 2024 festival, and I have to thank the artistic director and the rest of the people involved."

He continued: "Street theater is very popular these days. Although I think that there is still room for improvement, one of the positive features of street theater is that a show starts improvisationally with an idea and takes shape in front of the audience. This feature makes the street performance  is not 100% in the conventional rules of the theater, so that it can bring people with it.”

The closing ceremony of the 17th Marivan International Street Theater Festival will be held on Wednesday 16 October.
