Attention to detail is the most important thing for an international festival

The 29th Hamedan International Theater Festival for Children & Young Adults Opened  with veteran artists , theater officials and people.

Amir Mashhadi -Abbas has been the artistic director of the festival for three years.

He says, "When we claim that the festival is international, our standards must also be international. All our efforts have been to reach this standard in cooperation with Hamedan city officials. The executive staff and I follow it very carefully, and sometimes I hear friends say, 'How much you are pestering!' But paying attention to details is the most important thing to have a quality festival."

He explains: “I think the 29th festival should have its best time. The Children and Youth Theater Festival is the most prominent and popular event among the art community and Iranian people. We invited all veteran artists in Iran to be an encouragement to the younger generation of artists and us.”

He adds: “59 troupes will perform in Hamedan, and you may be interested to know that the total number of participants in our three groups is 120, and all artists will be accommodated with the cooperation of our friends in Hamedan.”

                                                                                 

This director and theater artist talks about the festival’s jury: “When we contacted the jury members or members of the festival’s selection council to invite them to cooperate, all of them accepted with love and interest and got to work.”

 

Mashhadi- Abbas believes that being the festival artistic director is really difficult, But when you can do something for the country's theater, you don’t hesitate for the sake of the artists and Iranian theater community , and this is sweet.”
