Works of Ashura Rites Meetings Will See Public Performance
The press conference of The 6th Ashura Rites Meetings was held on Dec 12. IRAN THEATER – Pointing to the 5 successful previous rounds of the festival, General Director of the Culture & Islamic Guidance Office of Golestan, Qolamreza Montazeri, said: "We have tried to hold the festival more sophisticated than the past."
"The meeting aims to revive rituals of Ashura. Hence the seven most popular performances of the province of Golestan will be performed during the meeting." He added.
"The best Ta'zies of the festival are scheduled to see public performance and also there will be a photo exhibition on the previews rounds beside it."
"The experimental section has also been added to the festival's frame." The meeting's director, Rahmat Amini, said. He mentioned that some necessary arrangements have been made to perform Ta'zie at the main venue of the city theater, in the case of cold weather."
"We have asked some professional artists to take part in the festival. Therefore the work of Mahmud Reza Rahimi will be reviewed tonight. Also the meeting will host a stage production of Hussein Mosafer Astane." He continued.
The 6th Ashura Rites Meeting will be held from Dec 29 to Jan 2 in Tehran and Gorgan. The jury includes Ali Nasirian, Saed Kashan Fallah, and Saed Afshar.
