Sima Tirandaz on her new directing experience,”Jimmy Jump”

Iran Theater-In recent years, Sima Tirandaz has mostly staged directed her plays with her students, and after a few years, she directed "Jimmy Jump" with professional actors. A performance that she believes is very different in form and content from all of her other works.
She said: "Jimmy Jump" is a spectator who interrupts a sports match and uses sudden, rapid jumping movements to reach sports fields. When a spectator hears the title of this show, thinks that this show is about football, but we will have a lot of conversations under the pretext of this sport.”
She continued: "In recent years, I have believed in minimalism and everything that refers to imagination, fantasy, and the magic of the show more than anything else. I have the same approach in this show, and I seek help from the audience's imagination."
The artist added: "I’ve had workshops and I had the performances with my students, so there was a gap between the performance of "The Fateful Ones" and the performance of "Jimmy Jump," in which I was not able to perform with a professional group. After the performance of "Romeo and Juliet," I decided to work on a different show. "Jimmy Jump" will be different from all the works you have seen from me in terms of story, content, and many other things."
Referring to her role in the play "Jimmy Jump," Tirandaz said: "When I decide to direct, I‘ve no longing for acting. I’ve accepted a role in this show completely accidental. Because these days, it has become very difficult to gather an intimate group."
