Shahram Zargar: The submitted research raised important questions

Iran Theater-Shahram Zargar, one of the jury of Theater Research Award of the Year, considered the works submitted to the secretariat to raise important questions.

Zargar believes that research is not considered important field in our society:” universities and the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, which are called research and are considered the custodians of the research sector, have the least contribution in this field.”

The theater artist and researcher added: "The submitted works like applied research, research extracted from academic theses, and some articles or reading essays focused more on posing questions than answering them. Of course, sometimes posing a question is more important and valuable than the answer."

He explained about the judging criteria:” The judges were invited from university professors and considered the theoretical frameworks required for a research project. Research that explores a problem, poses questions correctly along the way, and seeks to find answers based on previous and current findings. However, our most important criterion for evaluating the works is their theatricality, because interdisciplinary research has other places to be presented.”
