Some of Fadjr Award winner designers on their works, shows and designing

Iran Theater- Some of the award winner designers at the 43rd Fadjr Theater Festival, explaining how they work, emphasized that design should serve the work and the play.
Mostafa Hayat, the set designer of the play "Australia", said about the formation of the idea until the performance of the play: "Initially, I intended to focus on the immobility of the space for the set design of the play "Australia", but after a more detailed study of the text and considering the end of the story when the characters turn into fish at the end; I decided the final form of the set design."
He continued: "Stage design must serve the play and the work, otherwise the communication with the audience and the transmission of the message will not be done as it should be. Of course, I believe that even in stage design, we should not provide everything to the audience , and we should pay attention to the fact that the design can engage the audience's mind even hours and days after watching the work, and the audience will analyze the details of the performance."
Pejman Shahverdi, costume and space designer for the street performance "Kimia", also pointed out the importance of space design in street theater and stated: "Space design in street theater is an inseparable element of directing. To be successful in street performances, the director must present different spaces to the audience with his creativity and show images."
The artist added: "Space design requires knowledge and understanding. This knowledge must be obtained through study, research, and investigation. If we have good design in different spaces, we can be a good director. Otherwise, the director is not familiar with the important factors of street art."
Ramin Ghasemi is a sound designer and composer of the play "Sara" from Ardabil, he said: " we had a folklore story that the director brought to the stage in a modern performance style. Considering this approach and the director's vision, an attempt was made to combine classical music with local and folklore music. Also, since the story was told through a river , I added sounds to the work using instruments I invented to better convey the atmosphere."
The artist continued: " what the actor cannot convey to the audience through words or body is expressed through music, and music has an important place in theater."
