Massoud Delkhah on stage acting

Iran Theater- Masoud Delkhah believes that the presence of film actors and celebrities in theater should be based on their abilities and suitability for the role, and The audience should not watch a play just to see the actor.
He said that acting is a science that must be learned and trained like any other profession: "We are all actors in society. We play with different masks and in different situations every day, but acting as a profession and job is different. We have to play another character that may be very far away from our personality, and this requires skill and technique. For example, you may be an extrovert, happy, and energetic person, but you are supposed to play the role of an introvert, quiet, and bored character. If you do not have personal experience and have rarely seen such a person in your observations, if you do not know the technique, psychology, sociology, etc., you will definitely not be able to fully display this character."
The artist added: "It is true that anyone, especially if they are intelligent, can play simple roles in some television series with a few exercises and guidance, but what we mean an effective actor. An actor who can influence the audience, and achieving this effective acting is not easy, it requires training, study, observation, and strong imagination. For example, you may have a good voice, but to become a good singer, you need to know solfege, voice training, and musical skills."
Referring to the characteristics of an actor, he said: "Imagination is the golden key to acting. In addition to a beautiful voice, an actor also needs a flexible body. I'm not saying a beautiful body, although a beautiful body is also an advantage, but a flexible body is important for an actor. We see impressive actors all over the world who may not have a beautiful body or face, but they are wonderful, and this proves that imagination is more important than voice and physics, which makes a person a good actor. Strong analysis also requires practice and technique. An actor should read novels, short stories, plays, and poetry for his imagination. Good poems are full of imagination and activate the reader's imagination, and if all of these are essential for good acting, how can we accept taking anyone's hand and bringing them on stage?"
