Atabak Naderi met with representatives of various theater associations

Mitra Karimkhani, a member of the board of directors of the Puppeteer Association, said in the meeting: "A number of our members who attended the Tehran-Mobarak International Puppet Festival received their demands from the festival through your follow-up, but a number of them have not yet been able to receive their demands, and action needs to be taken in this regard."

 

Elmira Talebi, another member of the board of directors of the Puppeteer Association, emphasized the importance of selecting the next artistic director of the Tehran-Mubarak International Puppet Festival: "For more precise planning that will affect the quality of the festival, it is necessary to select the festival secretary as soon as possible so that director can prepare the programs for the next festival and, after approval from the general administration, hold a more complete festival worthy of its name."

 

Zhaleh Kazemi, a member of the board of directors of the Street Performers Association, considered one of the problems of this sector of theater to be the lack of attention paid by theater publications to research on street theater: “The theater publications and the Iran Theater website do not publish research on street shows, and the General Directorate needs to pay more attention to street theater.”

 

Hamidreza Nouri, another member of the board of directors of the Street Performers Association, pointed out the low importance of street theater in the General Directorate of Dramatic Arts: “Street theater has only been able to perform at festivals for some time.”

Mohammad Bahrami, the head of Theater Forum also stated: "In past years, street plays were performed for the public with the support of the Tehran Municipality Cultural and Artistic Organization and the General Department of Dramatic Arts in parks and busy city centers, which were well received. However, for some time now, the Tehran Municipality Cultural and Artistic Organization has not taken any action in this regard to support street theater, and it is necessary for the General Department of Dramatic Arts and the Tehran Municipality Cultural and Artistic Organization to interact and reach an understanding for environmental and street performances."

 

Qasem Ansari, a director of children's and youth theater who was present at the meeting, pointed out the basic problems in the Honar Hall and explained some points.

Reza Javidi, a member of the board of directors of Photographers Association (the Theater Forum), also called for signing a memorandum of understanding with the General Directorate of Darmatic Arts to hold an exhibition of theater photographers' photos in theater spaces, so that with the plans being made, this exhibition can be held permanently in theaters.
