Iranshahr Theater to host 'Play Strindberg' in the spring

Iran Theater-The cast of "'Play Strindberg'," directed by Mohammad Reza Maleki, was introduced for a performance at the Iranshahr Theater.

The play deals with the issue of married life and marriage. The story is about a couple who have been living on a remote island for years but always have problems with each other and their life is like a battlefield. The arrival of a man who introduces himself as one of the woman's relatives drastically changes their living conditions and leads them to separation.
Written in 1968 and published in 1969, 'Play Strindberg' is a free adaptation of August Strindberg's The Dance of Death (1900), using Strindberg's characters.
The title is a reference to Jacques Loussier's Play Bach series of recordings. The play premiered in Basel on 8 February 1969.
