Iran Theater- Iranian theater photographer Mehdi Ashena recently won another international award from the Tajikistan Festival. He considers theater photography to be a high-quality brand in the world, and Iran has some differences from other countries.
Mehdi Ashena, a theater photographer and a member of the International Federation of Photographic Arts (FIAP), won the gold medal at the Tajikistan International Photo Festival in his most recent international appearance.
Ashna said about his participation in this artistic event: "The Tajikistan International Photo Festival is one of the most prestigious events in which artists from many different countries participate in different sections of this event, which include the "Free", "Ethnography", "Portrait", "Landscape" and "World" sections. I participated in all sections and was awarded in two sections, "Portrait" and "Free".
This veteran theater photographer said: "Fortunately, the Iranian photography community is a very high-quality community, and we have first-class and well-known photographers in the international arena."
Stating that theater photography in Iran is different from other countries, the artist said: Theater photography is a high-quality brand in the world and Iran is the only country where there is a syndicate and guild for theater photography. We also have an independent theater photography night and have always paid attention to photography on the sidelines of other international and national events such as the Fadjr International Theater Festival, the International Ritual and Traditional Theater Festival, etc., and I must say that exceptionally, we are far ahead of the rest of the world in the theater photography, and this is a good thing.”
