Kourosh Soleimani: We all have doubts

Kourosh Soleimani: We all have doubts

Iran Theater- Kourosh Soleimani has directed the play "Doubt:A Parable" at the Iranshahr Theater, which refers to concepts such as prejudice, religion, and discrimination, but doubt in life is one of the most important themes in this play.

Kourosh Soleimani explained the reasons for choosing John patrick shanley’s play Doubt: A Parable and the process of performing to Iran Theater.

Soleimani said: "Choosing a play is always important to me for two reasons. First, the play should allow the entire group in different parts to perform well and be well-structured, a play that needs to be completed and cannot convey the concept well isn’t my type. And second, the content is important. The content should be a concern for me and the team, and In today's society, it creates a sense of identification in our audience in various ways.”

He added: Fortunately, These were the things. The play deals with prejudice, slander, morality and its relations to human conditions, the way of looking at religion, and various other topics such as discrimination. Forgiveness, prejudice, and the discussion of the opposition of two views in religiosity are all issues that can occure anywhere in the world. The most important discussion that stands out in terms of meaning in this work is the discussion of doubt and certainty, which I think is a universal.”

Soleimani went on to say:” We all experience doubt in life about what we have accumulated. This doubt is expressed on two levels. One is the doubt of the individual, which is reprehensible, and the other is doubt at a higher level, which refers to a review of the meaning and knowledge you have learned, and I think  this  is sublime. A discussion that is also referred to in this play.”

He explained: "I always believe that the director approaches the play based on a social necessity , and personally, for me it doesn't matter whether the play is a new one or old one. My  thing is the issue of meaning with which I am supposed to have a dialogue with the audience.."
