Ramin Sayardashti:

We tried not to have a banal approach to comedy

Iran Theater- Ramin Sayardashti is an actor in the play "The Taming of the Wooden Horse" directed by Sina Razani. He has collaborated with the director many times and has even played Sina’s role due to the similarity in their approach. This incident has become a reason for the formation of a new collaboration between them.

An Iranian theater actor,Ramin Siyardashti who will be performing "The Taming of the Wooden Horse" directed by Sina Razani at the Chaharso Hall , City Theater Complex from May 8th, explained his appearance in the play.

He said:” I have collaborated with Sina Razani on various works for many years, and we have played each other in many plays due to the similarity of our role-playing approaches. This recognition of Sina Razani's taste encouraged me to join the team. Also, this work is a comedy of character and situation, and in terms of form and genre, it is far from the works I have done so far.”

Emphasizing the difference between his role in this show and his other roles, the artist said: "I am not specifically a comedy actor and have done very little comedy shows over the years. I’ve done some comedy role in cinema and television, but most of my show has been more fantasy than comedy; and that is situational comedy. Of course, I am not unfamiliar with comedy, but this kind of show, which is more towards character and situational comedy, is a new experience for me. In fact, my previous experiences have either been works that involved physics and the body, or if they also had comedy, they have gone towards fantasy. In this play, the character also has a few signs of fantasy, but since the main basis of the work is based on situational comedy, it will be different from my previous experiences.”

He believes: Watching comedies is a human need; however, comedy that is realy comedy and does not veer towards vulgarity. All our efforts in the group have been to avoid veering towards vulgar comedy and to ensure that the audience enjoy a good comedy, and we hope that they did.
