Mona Farjad:
It is enjoyable to share in the good mood of others

Iran Theater-Mona Farjad is performing in the play "The Midnight Library" these evenings. The actress emphasizes that she will not accept a role that does not bring her a sense of humor, and she is not willing to play similar roles.
Mona Farjad is the actress of " The Midnight Library" directed by Mohammad Malekshahi, which began its second run on April 17 at 7:30 PM at the Malek Theater. She talked about her role in the play to Iran Theater.
Regarding the play, Farjad said that "Midnight Library" is a free adaptation of a novel of the same title, and like thousands of other literary adaptations based on literary and popular plays, the content is certainly the same as book, but an attempt has been made to create a new work based on the playwright’s perspective.
She went on to say: Of course, I have not read the novel so I do not know enough about how faithfully the characters created , but as far as I know, , some differences have been made that fortunately most of the audience has connected with it and is satisfied with the play.
Referring to her presence in the second round of the performance, the artist said: Personally, I believe that every actor who comes on stage, adds an atmosphere to the group and brings something to the play that is different from other actors. It’s related to her personal characteristics and the image she creates for herself from the work.
Stating that each play has its own unique characteristics and world, she said: My whole effort in playing each role is to portray a different character than my pervious roles I have played on stage because repeating ourselves have become unattractive. My effort is to play roles that are not exactly similar to my other works. Perhaps playing realistic roles seems easy to many people outside of this profession, but in my opinion, playing such roles is impossible. Playing a role that is from today's society and based on our life experience in dealing with other people is not that easy and requires expertise and training.
Mona Farjad concluded her talks by saying: "I would like people to come to the theater for an hour during bitter and difficult days, sit, laugh, and be satisfied with what they see, and realize that it is still possible to have a positive outlook and leave the theater in a good mood. Sharing in the good mood of others is heartwarming and enjoyable for me."
