Shakespeare Theatre workshop for youth
Janapadam, a social and cultural society, will conduct Shakespeare Theatre Workshop to train youth enact world famous Shakespeare’s play Macbeth in Telugu.
The workshop is being conducted in collaboration with two national institutes - National School of Drama and Central Sangeet Natak Akademi.
Janapadam’s chief functionary Srinivas Denchanala said, in a press release here today, the workshop will be organised from October 1 to 30 in Kukatpally in the city.
In this workshop, Shakespeare’s Macbeth would be translated to Telugu and it would be staged at Ravindra Bharati on November 3. Srinivas himself is translating the play to Telugu and also preparing the stage design. National School of Drama professor and noted director KS Rajendran will direct the play.
Those participating in the workshop would be imparted training in communication skills, acting sills, personality development and social consciousness. The trainees will also get some remuneration.
