Nepal advocates child right by holding children theater festival

Nepal's Shailee Theater is scheduled to organize 2nd Children Theater Festival with the aim of advocating child right via different plays.

The theater festival will begin on Feb. 10 and will run for five days in the capital Kathmandu.
"Along with the children our focus groups are also the child right activists, parents, teachers and organizations advocating child right," Poudyal said.
"We are focusing on the school children because we want them to know how children like them are suffering," he added. He informed that more than 50 children will participate directly in the plays.
Moreover, he stated that this play will also advocate for the rights of the orphan children who are deprived of so many things in life.
Poudyal who is also an enthusiastic writer of the children literature in Nepal also shared his expectation that the festival will be milestone in advocating child right, developing children literature culture and bringing all those involved in the child right together.
