The Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space 2011
Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic with cooperation of the Arts and Theatre Institute Prague announces the 12th edition of Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space
PQ is also changing its name to the Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space, with the goal of including a wider scope of artists’ disciplines, and genres, to break down the often imaginary differences between them. The expositions will be divided in three competitive sections – the section of countries and regions, section of theatre architecture and student section. PQ would also be accompanied by a wide spectrum of live events – workshops, lectures, performances, discussions and presentations for audience from all over the world.
The quadrennial exhibits a variety of performance design disciplines such as costume, stage, lighting and sound design, including theater architecture for opera, drama, site-specific, multimedia performances and performance art.
It’s been held every four years since 1967. This year, it started last week and will end on the 26th, with more than 60 countries participating
