House of Bernard Alba
Multi-award winning Yas-e-Tamam Theater Group present this radical new production of the politically and passionately charged Spanish play by Federico García Lorca.
Bernarda Alba is an isolated widow trapped in mourning with her five daughters. One by one each of Bernarda’s daughters plan to escape – each with tragic and lasting consequences.
Tehran based Yase-e-Tamam was formed in 1990 by Iranian director and puppet designer Zahra Sabri. The company has performed in theatres and festivals around the world including Iran, Spain, France and Lebanon. In 2009 they won first prize at the Prague International Puppet Theater Festival. This is a UK premiere by Yas-e-Tamam.
