New Dramatic Arts Association Director Introduced

Mohammad Mehdi Khatami replaced Mohammad Hamzezadeh as new head of the Dramatic Arts Association in a gathering attended by the organization’s founding members.
Khatami, the association’s new director, was introduced on Wednesday in the ceremony, which was participated by Ali Asghar Amirnia, senior advisor to the Culture Minister, Mohammad Ali Dashtgoli, acting head of the Dramatic Arts Center, Mohammad Ali Khabari and Seyyed Sadegh Mousavi, Iran’s theater website theater.ir quoted the Public Relations Office of the Culture and Islamic Guidance Ministry’s Department for Art Affairs as saying.
Hamzezadeh, association’s former head, expressed gratitude to the staff for cooperating with him on theater issues during the past 16 months who was in office.
“These 16 months were more difficult than my whole service [years] in the army,” said Hamzezadeh.
He criticized media for ‘incorrect’ reflection of his resignation news, blaming Fars news agency’s reporter for the ‘distortion’.
Hamzezadeh said the theater issues should be looked into realistically and make plan for the future.
He regretted that some ‘friends’ talked against the association when he was in office.
Amirnia, Mousavi and Dashtgoli praised Hamzezadeh for his performance and wished success for Khatami during the ceremony.
