“White Rabbit, Red Rabbit” to Perform in US, Norway Fests

“White Rabbit, Red Rabbit”, written by Nassim Soleimanpour, will go on stage in San Francisco and Oslo festivals on 2nd May, 2012.
Soleimanpour told Iran Theater website that the Ninth Annual San Francisco International Arts Festival (SFIAF) will open on April 2, 2012 with over 40 perfromances in three sections dance, music and theater.
In addition to “White Rabbit, Red Rabbit”, performances from the US, Colombia, Cuba, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, Russia and Switzerland will be presented in different venues across the city, Soleimanpour added.
Soleimanpour said concurrent with San Francisco festival, the play would be performed as staged readings in Norwegian in Oslo International Theatre (OIT).
The playwright added that OIT is aimed at introducing contemporary drama, formerly not staged in Norway. “The Iranian rabbits would be perfromed by six Norwegian actors in six different venues,” Soleimanpour said.
The OIT grabbed the award for Special Artistic Achievement in 2011.
“White Rabbit, Red Rabbit” has had performances in New York, Toronto and Edinburgh, receiving awards of a 2011 Arches Brick Award and SummerWorks.
