Being Harold Pinter

Presented by Under The Radar and LaMaMa Belarus Free Theater (Belarus) Adapted and directed by Vladimir Shcherban Produced by Nikolai Khalezin and Natalia Koliada
Following their stirring production of Generation Jeans at UTR 2008, Belarus Free Theatre returns to New York with Being Harold Pinter, which incorporates transcripts from Belarusian political prisoners with excerpts from Harold Pinter's lifetime of writings. Creating visually striking images with simple means and underscoring the fierceness of Pinter's words with the intense physicality of the actors, Being Harold Pinter blurs the boundaries between art and reality, delivering a poignant contemporary commentary on violence, oppression, freedom and human dignity.
The company returns to New York to stage three shows in repertory:
BEING HAROLD PINTER
A poignant contemporary commentary on violence, oppression, freedom and human dignity.
ZONE OF SILENCE
A haunting exploration of contemporary life in Belarus.
DISCOVER LOVE
A drama based on the true story of dissident Irina Krasovskaya and her husband.
