Tunisia, Iran Can Cooperate in Theater

Mohammad Dashtgoli, acting head of Dramatic Art Center, met members of Tunisian group “Davud” following their performance of “Le Dernier des Bani Siraj (The Ending of Bani Siraj)” at Honar Hall before they leave Iran.

The meeting took place in the hotel accommodated the Tunisian group, Iran Theater website reported.
Dashtgoli thanked the group for participation at the 30th Fadjr International Theater Festival in the aftermath of Tunisian people’s Islamic Awakening.
“The participation of the Tunisian group at the 30th Fadjr International Theater Festival in the aftermath of Islamic Awakening could certainly pave the ground for more cooperation and interaction in the art field, especially theater, between both countries,” said Dashtgoli.
Talking to Hassan Moadhin, the play’s director, Dashtgoli said that Iran would appreciate Tunisian participation in the Fadjr Theater Festival and hoped that Iran’s cultural week to be organized in Tunisia and more Tunisian theatrical groups perform in the Islamic Republic thanks to strengthening of bilateral cultural ties.
Moadhin, the director, expressed satisfaction over his presence in Tehran, hoping that Tunisian theatrical groups could enhance cultural relations with Iran and have more interaction with Iranian artists.
“Le Dernier des Bani Siraj (The Ending of Bani Siraj)”, written by Idris Jabir and directed by Moadhin, was performed in Honar Hall on February 3, grabbing enthusiasm from the Iranian audience.
