Third Children's Theatre Festival

Third Children&#039s Theatre Festival

Shailee, the vibrant theatre group, is coming up with its Third Children’s Theatre Festival 2012 from February 10 to 16 from 11 am and 2 pm which will take place in the auditorium of Russian Culture Centre at Kamal Pokhari where Valley View English School, Koseli School, Nepal Adarsha Vidyalaya and other theatre groups of the Valley, such as Achel Theatre Group, SOS Children’s Village, The Freelancers Nepal, and Shailee Theatre Group themselves will be staging their plays.

“We do this festival for children to develop theatre culture among them from a very young age. Our aim is to provide platforms to these children so that they can express themselves better, and we also try to create some therapeutic effects on the parents, as one of the widely portrayed issues is generation gap where the goal is to make parents-children relationship better,” shares Nabraj Budhathoki, President of Shailee.
“We’re working hard which has fueled our confidence level. But the fear that something might go wrong while performing still remains.”

The coordinator of the festival, Kedar Shrestha, informs that the making of the dramas are a lot better than they used to be in the previous years.

This is yielding good signs that this festival might indeed be very successful and a talked-about event!
