An encyclopedia on world’s religious plays, which is written by Dr Farhad Nazerzadeh Kermani, is set to be published on the occasion of the festival. The secretariat of the festival is set to put the book in print, he said.
The 300-page book has eleven chapters focusing on topics such as philosophical, moral and symbolic plays as well as religious one. It has also a conclusion on man’s ethics and its reflections in religious literature and traditional plays such as hamlekhani and shabihkhani. The book deals with the topics such as a history of religious theater and its origin.
Farhang said that “Yellow Patience” by Ardeshir Salehpour, “Single, Male, Absent” by Ali Moazeni, “Molla Sadra and Yahya” by Seyyed Azim Mousavi and a collection of three plays by Ruhollah Samei and Zohreh Gholami are books were published at the Second Truth Theater Festival.
He added that four plays of the the Second Truth Theater Festival which didn’t have public performances so far to be performed publicly soon. He didn’t name the plays.
The festival will open on October 16 in Tehran and other provinces.
