Street theater festival in Prague

Going by the complete title of (get ready for it…) “International street theatre festival: Behind door and International festival of dance and physical theatre,” the annual festival taking place in the Czech capital, both outside and inside — on Wenceslas Square and at Divadlo v Celetné, respectively — runs until Sunday, July 22.
ENTRANCE IS FREE for the performances outside, but those wishing to attend the shows in Divadlo v Celetné need to buy their tickets, selling for 250 Kč, or 180 Kč for students, at the venue.
The focus of the nearly weeklong festival, organized by theater production company ART Prometheus and the highly acclaimed Spitfire Company, which received top honors at the Prague Fringe Festival in June, is on playfulness: “imagination, clownery and theater.” The festival has attracted talent from the Germany, Poland and Italy, among others, and will be a fantastic opportunity to add some intelligent entertainment to the dog days of summer.
In total, the festival comprises more than 20 shows from a dozen different theater companies or ensembles and will offer us all a bit of fun and games under the summer sun.
