“Last Supper” Going to Japan

“Last Supper” will take part in the international theater festival of Kijimuna Festa 2012 in Japan.

The play is sponsored by Qom Art Center, Iran Theater website reported.
The play is going on stage in Japan from July 27 until August 6 in its fifth international performance.
Kijimuna Festa is a credited international festival to be held annually in Okinawa, hosting international theater groups.
“Last Supper”, written by Mohammad-Reza Kouhestani, is the first Iranian play to stage in the international festival along with noted groups from Britain, Canada, Denmark, Estonia, France, Italy, Japan, Poland and Russia.
Ahmad Soleimani is the director of “Last Supper”, which was staged in Iran in 2009 by Ide Theater Group. Majid Amiri, Mehdi Nikravesh, Mohammad-Javad Piroozi, Masha’allah Kouhestani and Ahmad Soleimani play in the drama.
The play had performances in Denmark and Slovakia, Sweden and Turkey.
“Last Supper’s” success in Denmark caused the play to line-up for Japan as one of the significant performances of the festival.
