2 Iran Reps in Switzerland’s Theatre Spectacle

Azadeh Shahmiri is a PhD student of art research whose theater career dates back to early 2000s. She is to be a jury member of an international festival for the first time.
Shahmiri told Iran Theater website that the festival had different sections including solo play, children and young adults, outdoor theaters and student theater of Swiss universities and a main section in which professional groups attend.
She said a section was devoted to young and new groups in which she would be a jury member with her counterparts from China, Syria and Switzerland. The section is competitive in which one play from Poland and two from Belgium, Netherlands and Switzerland are taking part.  
Shahmiri said that one of the biggest banks of that country funded the section of the festival and the top play was awarded 30,000 Swiss francs.  
The festival will run from August 16 to September 2 in Zurich.
