“Bitter Like the Blood in the Veins of Yerma”
Milad Nikabadi will direct “Bitter Like the Blood in the Veins of Yerma” in Belarusian White Tower International Theater Festival. “Bitter Like the Blood in the Veins of Yerma was directed by Nikabadi last year in Iran’s Fourth International Student Theater Festival, according to the Iran Theater website.
The play, which received top award of Iran student festival, is set to stage in Belarusian city of Brest on September 7-15.
Behrooz Kazemi, Alireza Mehran, Farzaneh Soheili, Hanieh Najafi, Amineh Mazrooei, Bahar Zarvani and Parisa Derakhshandeh play in the drama. Rahmat Enayat and Mohammad Alavi are assistant director and Ali Sadeghikhah the director for international relations of the play.
“Bitter Like the Blood in the Veins of Yerma”, a play inspired by Spanish dramatist Federico Garcia Lorca’s Yerma, is written by Kioomars Ghanbari-Azar.
The play is to be stage in India’s international festival in September too.
