Amir Hossien Shafiee Best Director at Kurdistan International Iglim Festival

“Dastanak (Short Story) “ play from Amir Hossein Shafiee won the awards of Best Director and Supporting Actress for Raziyeh Deh Payiniee’s performance.
According to the news from Iran Street Theater workshop by Irantheater website, “Dastanak” play of Amir Hossein Shafiee took part in 3rd international Street theater Festival of Kurdistan’s Darbandi Khan Iglim and in a competition with plays from Germany, Egypt, Hague, Australia, Poland, Turkey and Greece, received major approvals.
After an honorary presence in Marivan, Saghez and Lahijan festivals Amir Hossein Shafiee finally took part at the International Festival of Iraq’s Iglim Kurdistan’s international section and won the best director award.
Raziyeh Deh Payinee also won the best supporting actress award. It should be noted that Ali Omrani had been invited at 3rd Street Theater Festival of Iglim Kurdistan after Turkey’s Gulbudag and Roohallah Sanayie.
According to this report, after a warm receipt from the audience, the cultural authorities of Iraq Kurdistan decided to stage a special performance of the play in Suleymaniyeh city center.
Dastanak is a minimalistic story executed by physical theater. The play shows two people who born and live at the same time and place and the different effects of each one’s life on the surrounding environment.
Cast and crew are: Directing Advisor Rahmat Amini, Assistant Director Negar Joneydi, Artists Roohollah Sanayie, Azam Razawi, Leila Joneydi, Alireza Kazem Zadeh and Hamed Arab, Stage Designer Rooholaah Sanayie,and Ali Omrani, Photographer Samira Joneydi, International Affair Mina Kazem adeh.
