Tennessee Williams Festival's David Kaplan to Teach Acting Workshop at KCACTF, 2/1.

Tennessee Williams Festival&#039s David Kaplan to Teach Acting Workshop at KCACTF, 2/1.

David Kaplan, Curator of Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival, is set to share the craft of Williams' monologues in an acting workshop at the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival. The workshop, titled "Telling A Story: What Acting in Tennessee Williams Plays Teaches Us About Acting in All Plays" will take place on Friday, February 1.

Kaplan co-founder and curator of the Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival, has thought theater students throughout the United States and Europe using the aria-like speeches from Tennessee Williams plays as examples of how to work in all plays.
The Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival was founded in 2006 by Dr. Jerry Scally, Alix Ritchie, Patrick Falco, and David Kaplan. Our mission is:
•    To host performances that examine and celebrate Tennessee Williams' work, life and evolving historical importance including the playwright's own connection to Provincetown.
•    Honor Williams as a playwright of enduring and international relevance and significance. * Encourage the searching spirit of Williams' writing to inspire new creative work.
•    Draw on Provincetown's perspective as the longest-running American artist colony where serious modern American drama was born.
