David Mamet Joins DIY Trend as Self-ublished eBooks Top Charts

Playwright and author David Mamet will go without a traditional publishing house for his next book. According an article this weekin The New York Times, Mamet is taking advantage of a new service offered by talent and literary agency ICM Partners to its stable of clients.
He told Leslie Kaufman of the Times, who covers the publishing industry, that he’s looking to exert more control over the marketing and promotion of his books.
One of the author's plays that will go on stage is the "Race" presented by The Ensemble Theatre. The Ensemble Theatre explores prejudice and deception in Race by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright David Mamet. Directed by Eileen J. Morris, Race, will be the theatre's first presentation of a play by David Mamet.
Featured cast members debuting on The Ensemble Theatre stage include: equity actors Mirron Willis, who first debuted with The Ensemble in Knock Me A Kiss, and Justin Doran. They will be joined by two newcomers: equity actress Joy Brunson and Kevin Daugherty.
