Eve Best is one of our great stage actresses, who delivered a winning performance as Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing at the Globe in 2011. She returns to the theatre as director of Macbeth, which is a step up for her, but a step she takes with confidence.
This is one of the funniest productions of “The Scottish Play” I’ve seen. It’s an odd thing to say about a work which charts the transformation of a great warrior into a tyrannical psychopath.
