All the Faces of the Moon, Mike Daisey’s Monologue Series, Begins Month-Long Run at the Public Theater

Monologist Mike Daisey’s month-long monologue series All the Faces of the Moon begins September 5 at Joe's Pub at the Public Theater, which will host a new monologue each night over the course of one lunar month. Daisey’s series officially opens on September 11 and will run through October 3.

Each night Daisey will share the stage with a specially-commissioned oil painting by Russian artist Larissa Tokmakova as he attempts to tell “the largest story every attempted in the American theater.” Directed by Jean-Michele Gregory, the project’s schedule is as follows:
September 5 — Playing the Hand You’re Dealt
September 6 — The Fool Who Walks Through Walls
September 7 — The Magician and the Fish
September 8 — She’s the High Priestess to You, Jack
September 9 — Mercury Is a Messenger Who Will Not Wait
September 10 — The Empress Holds Her Cards Close
September 11 — The Naked Emperor Is Still Laughing
September 12 — Venus Is a Star Who Gets What She Wants
September 13 — The Heirophant Plays It Loose
September 14 — The Lovers Struggle To Take What They Want
September 15 — Your Chariot Awaits, My Sweet
September 16 — Mars Is a Soldier Whose Hands Are Red
