“Morovatname Pahlevani” in Bali international puppet festival

“Morovatname Pahlevani” by Mahdi Safaari-Nedjad, is an Iranian traditional puppet show, directed by Saba Aslani and will stage in Bali international puppet festival from 22 September 2014.

 "This is a 23 minutes puppet show whit 4 main characters. Mahtab Mahdavi and I, are puppeteers in this show and Mahmoud Dehghan-Haraati performs as the Morshed (master) and plays the Tonbak (a persian musical instrument) too. Puppet design been done by Shafagh Ganje and I." Saba Aslani said. 
"A young girl falls in love with a poet colossus. Villagers decide to eject the colossus from the village and they appoint Pahlevan, a strong trustworthy athlete, to fight colossus and do the job. While shedding tears, Naazi, the young girl, asks Pahlevan not to kill the colossus. Pahlevan could not cancel the fight, because he has promised to do so. Meanwhile, he can't ignore Naazi's love. So he teaches the colossus how to fight." she explained.
"I owe my masters in the field – Specially Davoud Fatha'ali Beygi - who taught me a lot and encouraged me to participate in Tehran's   International Ritual and Traditional Theatre Festival." Saba Aslani, theatre student at the Malaya University, added. 
She went on to say that after coming back from Bali, Indonesia, her theatrical group will have a 2 month long Malaysia tour.
