Iranian ‘Kids of Peace’ to participate in ICFPA 2013

‘Kids of Peace’, a theatrical work produced in Iran’s north-west province of ‘Khorasan-e-Shomali’, leaves Iran for Indian capital, New Delhi to take part in 13th International Children’s Festival of Performing Arts (ICFPA) 2013.

“Theatrical groups from 30 countries around the world including Iran, Italy, Germany, France, Finland, Netherlands, Brazil, Poland, South Africa and Slovenia will participate in this children’s theatrical event in Delhi” Hasan Abedi, the playwright and director of ‘Kids of Peace’ said in an interview with Iran Theatre.
Saying that the central theme of the play is security and war, Abedi added that “The ‘Kids of Peace’ tells the story of world peace through the eyes of children. When looking at the war through their perspective, one can see that they are the main victim of the war, a catastrophe that ruins all their dreams and leaves them alone with an insecure future.”
He went on to say that “‘Kids of Peace’ is a mime theatre and local elements of ‘Khorasan-e-Shomali’ province, including music, clothing and even a rare bird of the aria can be seen throughout the play.”
The cast includes ‘Reza Firouzeh’, ‘Ftemeh Dalir Yavoli’, ‘Javad Pour Sa’id’, ‘Hekmatollah Shirdel’, ‘Ali Yazdani’, ‘Amir Mohammad Yazdani’, ‘Tara A’abedi’, ‘Parastou Ziyayi’, ‘Akram Gholami’, ‘Aldoz Yazdani’ and ‘Ava A’abedi’.
The 4-day theatrical event will begin on December 5th 2013 in New Delhi, India.
