Message of General Director of Dramatic Arts to 'Iran's Ordibehesht Theatre' celebration

According to a report that 'Iran Theatre' received from public relations sector of Dramatic Arts Center, some parts of the message from General Director are as follow:
The international day of theatre and also 'Iran's Ordibehesht Theatre', is a good opportunity to remember, review and show the properties and capabilities of Iran's theatre among the current world's performing styles and schools and to study the similarities between our national theatre and the theatre beyond borders. The similarities exist more in the realm of concept, subject, message and content, and not necessarily in the realm of means, techniques or performances.
In other words, at all times and all over the world, concepts like peace and friendship, giving hope, call for justice and equality, humanitarian coexistence and objection to deceit and injustice have been accepted and common among all cultures, religions and almost all the nations and all philosophical schools. Meanwhile, theatre is the best and most effective field for exposure of these common values and to invite people to pay attention and think more about the importance of these values. A field that with no doubt, is the other side of life coin and is the most dynamic art genre and the most similar to the real individual and social life of humans.
From this point of view, I do believe that celebrating the international theatre day, gives us a proper and special opportunity to gain a better and more in depth study and understanding of theatre's capabilities. Theatre capability to reach its countless audiences and to win their hearts and minds makes it a valuable tool for promotion of universal Iranian values, culture and ancient creed. We do believe that all the elements which are mentioned in famous artists' annual messages and slogans in the occasion of theatre day, are mentioned in our rich Iranian culture and are within the realm of our ancient civilization.
The 6th annual 'Iran's Ordibehesht Theatre' celebration is to open officially on April 24th in northeastern city of Mashhad and will be concluded with the final ceremony on 17th May 2014, in the western city of Kermanshah.
