A Play In Hitchcock Style Performs in Tehran Sayeh Hall
"It has a different style in comparison to the other works that I've performed", Director of "Leatherface Fischer" which is performing these days in Sayeh Hall of City Theatre Complex said.
" Helmut Krausserwrote the play in inspiration of "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" which is based on the true criminal series between 1968 to 1973 by someone named Leatherface Fischerand his family. "Leatherface Fischer" is a black and modern play. In this play the happy past world and having hope to future is being challenged; the world that images the picture of a society which its people are in suffering and everybody struggles in deep loneliness and ill relationships."Alireza Koushk Jalali said to Iran Theater.
As he pointed to its performancein Iran, explained: "I performed it in Iran as my first work 14 years ago. Actually I am known as a director who works on pop works means the plays that communicate with people but "Leatherface Fischer"is a play that maybe communicate with special group, however, everybody commit improvidence!"
"Disaffiliation of people to each other changes to radicalism and causes to anger, that was the reason that encouraged me to direct the play because I feel that this is the common problem of every society. When young generation has no hope to future, they can be changed to time bombs that may explore everywhere and this is a big danger" He reminded.
"If you have seen my previous works you will definitely understand the difference of this performance. To explain more about it, I can tell you about something happened in Germany when a critic described it with the word "Hitchcock Style" and I think this is because of the exotic atmosphere of it" he affirmed.
At the end, he mentioned to the successful performances he brought to stage and emphasized: ""Leatherface Fischer" firstly performed in Hamburg Talia Theatre in 1974 and then after it was performed rather than 388 times in different cities worldwide like Buenos Aires, Beijing, London, Los Angles, and several European cities. Also the play was performed in Germany by a company I manage in Koln in 2003 and it was nominated for the best play of the year."
"Leatherface Fischer"directed by Alireza Koushk Jalali with acting of Mohammad Valizadegan and Bahar Katouzi is performing from last week to August 11th in Sayeh Hall of City Theater Complex at 7 p.m.
