Dr. Salehpour Was Appointed As the Director of 33rd Fadjr International Theater Festival

Iran Theater- in this decree it is mentioned: “Fadjr International Theater Festival is the dynamic flow of life. Show of life and its signs in Iranian theatre and its place is the achievement of every artist’s attempt and creativity of Islamic Iran and everybody who are active in this field. With considering greatness of Fadjr International Theater Festival in the sky of dramatic arts and paying attention to your profession and experiences in theatre, I appoint you as the director of 33^rd Fadjr International Theater Festival.”

Dr. Ardeshir Salehpour , writer, researcher, director and theatre professor was born in 1957 in Izeh and has PhD in Art Research from Honar University.

He has published books like “Gramophone and drama”, “Mournful Violets”, “Paykaraks”, “Dolls and masks of ancient Iran”, “Reading Interlude in Iranian theatre”, “Yellow Doubt”, “Interlude in Taziye”, “Gun Noh Daal”, and  “Baz Bazak”. Salehpour has written more than ten plays and directed number of theatres; also he has experience in acting.

Giving lectures and research in Iranian and international conferences, making 11 research documentaries about history of Iran and its anthropology, expert of radio and TV programs are some of his other activities.

 Also it is good to mention that management of provincial theatre of Iran, membership of National Canon of Iranian Theatre Critics, Executive Management of theatre festivals, management of art distribution of universal Council of museums (Iran ICOM), and director of Iran international puppet show festival is other parts of his career.

Director of 33^rd Fadjr International Theater Festival has taught in different faculties since 21 years ago and he is member of professional board of Culture and Art.
