Climax of Iranian Puppet Show

Iran Theater- “When we wanted to choose the director of Tehran-Mobarak International Puppet Theatre Festival we were in search of somebody who can blow fresh air to the festival also give strength to us to walk beside her and put the festival in a right track.” Hossein Taheri in poster unveiling ceremony of Puppet Theatre Festival pointed to choosing of Marziyeh Boroumand; a veteran theatre artist as the director of this artistic event and said.

“Undoubtedly, today is a peak for Iranian puppet show. I hope we be witnesses of good bright days for this brilliant art with companionship of art family. ” Manager of Iran Dramatic Art Center emphasized.

Marziyeh Boroumand, Director of the 15^th Tehran-Mobarak International Puppet Theatre Festival talked very short and said: “I hope we see good performances among shows of this edition of the festival and we can help them to have experience of public show.”

“I completely understand all the problems of puppet theatre guys. But, at the same time, I believe that they can produce better works with more effort and they do not need only more money to achieve this goal.” She emphasized on high potential of Iranian puppet show artists and said.

“I believe that theatre in every country is the indicator of culture and education; in this way puppet theatre has a colorful role. If we are sans of theatre especially puppet theatre for any reason, we won’t have educated society. I ask all the Iran’s managers to provide a situation in scale of position and capacity of theatre and cost and allocate budget in artists’ dignity.  For sure, if Iranian cinema could stand on a good scale in the world is because of theatre, it means every country which has author cinema of course it has educated theatre inside.” Morteza Kazemi, advisor of Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister with emphasizing on this point that puppet theatre is the sign of dynamicity in every society, added.

At the end of this ceremony, the poster of The 15^th Tehran-Mobarak International Puppet Theatre Festival has been unveiled with presence of number of Iran puppet theatre artists.
